Starting Your Own Photography Blog is Easy

By Laural Kay

It seems like just about everyone has a cell phone camera these days that can take photos of just about anything in a matter of seconds. Using electronic photos instead of the traditional film photos is cheap, there is no wasted paper to end up in the garbage and they take up almost no physical space at all!

Whether you are a professional photographer or an amateur shutterbug you'll still like the ease of digital photography. And what's better than just snapping lots of digital photos is the fun way you can display them to others. There are lots of different ways to let others enjoy your photos, from electronic picture frames to printing them out to storing them on your cell phone.

One of the newest ways to display your images to others is with a photography blog. A blog is a website that allows an photographer to publish instant updates onto Internet about just about any topic imaginable. A photography blog can include the digital photographs you took on any specific day or trip. You can add your written thoughts about your photographs and you can inform people about why you snapped the images and where you were when you took them.

To begin a photo blog you just need to find some free blogging sites and pick a blog name. Most blogging sites are fairly simple to get started with. You just write your comments out in a post, upload your digital photos from your camera and the blogging software pretty much does the rest. When you are happy with a post you "publish" it and anyone on the internet can instantly view it!

With a photo blog you can not only share your photos with others but you can also allow people to comment on your posts. If you allow comments on your posts then you can also learn what other people like and do not like about your images. Getting feedback from views to your web log is part of the excitement of putting your images online.

Remember not to worry about always composing a post that's perfect. It is your photography blog and you can put up pictures of whatever you want. You can post images of a local tourist attraction one day and then put up photos of some trees in your front yard the next day. Just try to have fun with the ability to share your digital photos so quickly with your own blog! - 29888
